House of Blessing
The House of Blessing (HOB) is a benevolence ministry that provides food and financial assistance to those in need. This ministry also gives members of the community an opportunity to serve those in the area by sorting and distributing food and praying for those who are looking for God’s help.
Please leave nonperishable donations in the Donation Bin at the Rear Entrance of the House of Blessing; or bring your perishable donations to the Church Office. Thank you!

At this time HOB can only assist residents of the City of Chesapeake. However, if you are a member of Harvest VA we will consider assistance, regardless of the city in which you reside.
Financial assistance is provided only by appointment. All requests are taken by voicemail and a phone interview is required before an appointment for financial assistance is made. Please call and leave your full name, phone number, and the reason for which you are calling (ex: assistance with my light bill). Please speak slowly and clearly.
Your interview and application are kept completely confidential.
We need VOLUNTEERS! Please email mail@harvestva.org if you are interested in volunteering to help with picking up or stocking food, food distributions, or serving at the front desk.
