Our Ministries
Kids
Our Kids team is dedicated to helping children encounter God, have fun, and feel loved through engaging, age-appropriate, Bible-based programs that point to new life in Jesus. Jan Chapdelaine oversees childcare for infants through age 5, while Children’s Pastor Bill Sparkman leads KidzTown for ages 6–12. All staff and volunteers are background-checked and interviewed to ensure a safe environment. Youth
Harvest Youth is a place for students in 6th–12th grade to encounter the Holy Spirit, build lasting friendships, and pursue Jesus together in a fun and meaningful way. Our heart is to see this generation wholeheartedly seeking after God. Join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM in the Student Ministries Center for a time of worship, connection, and growth. Young Adults
Our Young Adults Ministry (ages 18–30), led by Joe and Kesleigh Shortino, is passionate about helping young adults discover their identity in Christ, walk in true freedom, and live unashamed of the Gospel. Through gatherings, events, conferences, intentional discipleship, and authentic Christ-centered relationships, our mission is to raise up a generation that lives uncompromised, set apart, and fully surrendered to all God has for them.

Special Needs
At Harvest Church, we believe everyone deserves a place to belong, grow in Christ, and experience God’s love.
Our Sonshine Room provides a safe, loving, sensory-friendly environment for children ages 2–8 with autism, developmental differences, or other special needs. Through sensory play, calming spaces, and engaging activities, children can learn and participate at their own pace. Available every Sunday during the 11:15 AM service in Room 208.
Wonderfully Made, led by Lisa Croft, is an upcoming fellowship group for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Coming soon during the 11:15 AM Sunday service in the Student Ministries Center! To participate or volunteer, visit harvestva.com/wonderfullymade or contact Lisa at 757-202-3118. No experience is necessary to serve—just a heart to share God’s love!
MomCo
MomCo is a welcoming community for moms of young children to find connection, encouragement, and support in every season of motherhood. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 9:30 AM, creating a space to build friendships, grow in faith, and be refreshed alongside other moms who understand the journey. Small Groups
You were never meant to walk your faith journey alone—real growth happens in community. That’s why we offer Small Groups: welcoming, diverse gatherings that meet throughout the week for connection, prayer, encouragement, and Bible study. There’s a place for you to belong and grow. House of Blessing
The House of Blessing is a powerful outreach ministry making a real difference in our community—bringing hope, help, and practical support to those in need. Each week, hundreds of families are served through food distribution, along with opportunities for financial assistance during difficult seasons.
